Grok Bot usage limits, explained

Short answer: On The X Subscription, Grok Bot is included on Premium ($30/mo), Super ($100/mo) and Ultra ($200/mo). It is not on Plus ($8/mo). Grok Bot does not have its own quota: it draws from one weekly pool shared with Grok and Cursor on that seat. [1][2]

Which plans include Grok Bot?

Plan Monthly Annual Included usage (vs Plus) Grok Bot
Free $0 $0 Limited No
Plus $8 $80 Base No
Premium $30 $300 4x Yes
Super $100 $1,000 15x Yes
Ultra $200 $2,000 50x Yes

Prices exclude tax. Source: official pricing [1].

How the weekly pool works

Not published: xAI does not publish the size of the pool in tokens or tasks, only multiples of Plus ("4x", "15x", "50x"). It also doesn't publish how much a typical Grok Bot task costs from the pool. We'll update this page if it does.

What happens when you run out?

  1. Further first-party usage becomes Additional Usage, paid from prepaid credit (top-ups). [3][4]
  2. Auto Top-up only runs if you turn it on. You can set a monthly spending cap. When you hit the cap, paid usage pauses even if credit remains. [4]
  3. With Auto Top-up off, usage stops once both your weekly pool and your prepaid credit are used up. Then you can buy credit, upgrade, or wait for the reset. [4]

Third-party models (Claude, GPT) in Cursor

They are not included in the pool. They're billed at API list prices from the first use, paid from prepaid credit. [1][5]

I'm on an old SuperGrok or Cursor plan. Does this apply?

Which plan should I pick?

xAI's own guidance: Premium for new AI users, Super for daily agent users, Ultra for power users. [6] → Try the plan picker.
