Claude Pro vs Max: usage limits, explained

Short answer: Every paid Claude plan has two limits: a 5-hour session limit and a weekly limit. You need room in both to keep going. Max 5x ($100/mo) and Max 20x ($200/mo) give 5x or 20x Pro's per-session allowance. Claude and Claude Code share the same limits. [1][2][3]

The two limits

5-hour session limit Weekly limit
Resets 5 hours after the session starts A fixed day and time assigned to your account

Where to check Settings → Usage Settings → Usage (shows the next reset)
